Their sustained hum encourages deep relaxation and naturally supports a meditative state. Our large collection of bowls is played intuitively by a group of women, creating a soothing and immersive sound journey.

Settle in, breathe deeply, and allow yourself to relax.
Comfortable chairs will be provided, or you’re welcome to bring a yoga mat or blanket if you prefer to lie on the floor.

A complimentary yoga class will follow at 7:00 PM for anyone who wishes to participate

ABOUT

ABOUT

Wabi Sabi

JAPANESE, NOUN

A STATE OF ACCEPTANCE OF THE IMPERFECTIONS IN LIFE AND APPRECIATING THEM AS BEAUTIFUL.

APPRECIATING THE EBB & FLOW OF LIFE.

FINDING BEAUTY IN IMPERFECTION, IMPERMANENCE, AND INCOMPLETENESS

In yoga, we gently explore our own edge
that tender place where effort meets ease,
where growth arises without strain.

Each time we come to the mat,
we begin exactly where we are.
No judgment.
No expectation.
Only presence.

Yoga is not a competition.
Not with others.
Not with ourselves.
There is no need to perfect any pose—
only to listen, to soften,
to allow the body to unfold in its own time.

We arrive carrying the subtle weight of our day—
our thoughts, our emotions, our stories—
and these shape how we move,
how we breathe,
how we feel.

And so we let go.
We release the idea that we must be different
than who we are in this moment.

We simply meet ourselves here—
with compassion,
with patience,
with trust—

and continue the journey
one breath,
one step,
one gentle awakening at a time.

INSTRUCTOR:  SHELLY KINNEY

I began my yoga practice more than 30 years ago, and it has been a long, winding, and deeply meaningful journey. In the fall of 2015, I felt called to take the next step and began my yoga teacher training. Under the guidance of Pete Anton, ERYT 200, and Yvonne Duban, ERYT 200, I discovered a new passion—teaching yoga.
I completed my Yoga Alliance 200-hour certification at Yoga For Peace in January 2016.

I continue to learn every single day, because yoga is a path rather than a destination. The concept of wabi-sabi—finding beauty in imperfection—has become especially important to me. It teaches me to accept myself and my students exactly where we are on our personal journeys.

Together, we learn to be gentle with ourselves, to honor each stage of growth, and to recognize that our imperfections are not flaws to overcome but moments of beauty to embrace.
